A team made up of Sensoria Health, Foot Defender, and former Nike shoe designers came together to create a cloud-based patient monitoring boot for Diabetes patients. On the extreme, but very realistic side, this technology could help save patients from requiring an amputation if used correctly after ulcer surgery. The boots comfortability along with providing care givers with accurate patient movement details can aid in the recovery and recovery protocols. Senoria Health explained how data is typically garnered from wrist wearables, but this is not useful with patients who, due to surgery, have a different gait the watch cannot accurately detect or are not as currently active in the way in which the wrist wearable monitors.
